The following exercise is designed to help you think about your values and how you are likely to respond to certain relationship issues.

Please read the following scenarios carefully then select the option that corresponds with your most likely response.

    Money is tight and you and your partner are both stressed about it. Despite this, your partner has spent money on something you view as a luxury. What is your most likely response?

    Please focus on the most likely thing you would do from the list, rather than what you would like to do.

    Demand your partner take the item back

    Tell your partner that you are angry because of their indulgence

    Inquire why your partner made the purchase

    Take away your partner's credit card
