Better Communication
Arguments with a partner or ex-partner can be difficult, but they are impossible once you are wound up.
When you are in this state, it makes it harder to listen to the other person, and the other person may become uncomfortable or even fearful of you.
This is why it is important to stop an argument with your partner or ex-partner when you notice the warning signs of winding up.
We are all equipped with internal warning signs, these signs come in different forms – whether in our bodies, emotions, thoughts, or behaviours, they all signal to us that we are winding up and it’s time to wind down.
Look at the list below and indicate which signs you notice in an argument. You might notice these signs in the time before or during the argument, or sometimes, even days before an argument. Please tick all those that you notice.
